Frightful. Dirty toilets. Noise all night. Some of the people in some tents stayed up all night and you could hear everthing. Dogs all over, wondering around, doing their business, eating out of your bin bags during the night. Elivis tribute good but what a smokey marque - the smoking ban not applicable there. Rating 1 out of 10.

My family have been regular visitors to this wonderful, warm welcoming family run site. It is immaculate! Beautifully cared for and welcome most campers and caravanners. There are no fancy rules or charges! Awnings, anexes, children and animals whatever goes, are in the price. It's on the bank of the river Ancholme and there are canoes to use with life jackets and bicycles for childre....no hire charge! A Cider Centre in easy reach of the site 150 yards walk serving bar meals and of course cider!! This is worth at least one visit...hic! Yes as some may say it can be noisy at times, loud music may be played by some until 1am!! But this is not all the time and not every weekend, rarely in my experience but it has never spoilt my time there and we have camped and caravanned since 2001! There is only one very small letdown some may say, which is a small tiolet and shower block..... This is soon to be changed for 2006!!! A new pavillion is to be built and compliment the site to it's full glory! This is a highly popular site and having visited it now hundreds of times I would say give it a try!! You really won't be dissapointed! There are beautiful avaries, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, geese and chikens! Lovely free range eggs to buy! The family are really wonderful and helpful, Godfrey, his wife Joan, Annie, Jemma are quick to help if you need help with anything. They are great company and brilliant people who have put their hearts and souls into making the site waht it is today! The site is a credit to their hard work and dedication! Peolpe leave here....but not for long before returning! If you think you will try it out then ring and book to save diappointment!!! It is a real treat and privelidge to leave feeling you have made friends with the Family as many do! I hope you try this site and enjoy return visits like our family hs done for many years!
